THE ROLE

The Assistant Portfolio Manager supports the Portfolio Manager with managing multiple client sites, to ensure Servicon is delivering the best client experience.  This role will compliment/support the Portfolio Managers schedule/shift.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Manages and directs the performance of routine to complex tasks and projects.
  • Ensures contracted service is delivered to client and completed to client’s specifications; is the point of escalation for client questions and concerns; supports in leading contract renegotiations and in seeking new service opportunities.
  • Ensures site staff and management understand and execute their responsibilities in a consistent, safe, and sanctioned matter.
  • Ensures sites are properly staffed with the appropriate number, type, and skill of service team members and managers.
  • Recruits for multiple sites, including opening the requisition, selecting appropriate candidates, conducting interviews, and giving feedback and candidate selection input.
  • Ensures payroll processes are completed for the portfolio, including ensuring managers have completed payroll related tasks and reviewing and approving timesheets as necessary; able to run timekeeping reports and derive and develop meaningful workforce metrics from the data.
  • Communicates and articulates safety and job-related training to a variety of service team members and managers.
  • Develops and guides employees; is the point of escalation for employee relations issues, including corrective action; escalates and/or consults with human resources when appropriate.
  • Develops metrics for portfolio supply inventory for budgeting and client contract negotiations
  • Builds cross department relationships centered on executing company strategy.
  • Communicates effectively with team members, internal, leadership and external customers.
  • Suggests and develops changes and/or new policies and procedures.
  • Communicates effectively with team, clients, management, and leadership.
  • Develops and produces meaningful metrics for site including data that can be used for contract negotiations
  • Stays current with industry standards, tools, and technologies.
  • Mentors, trains, and coaches team members; leads and participates in team project initiatives.
  • Determines the standard for work at multiple sites, develops and implements policies and procedures.
  • Produces metrics and reports to track teams’ performance.
  • Leads, trains, and mentors at multiple locations, including coaching supervisors and managers on how to lead and mentor their own team.
  • Other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 5+ years of experience in a service-related field
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team
  • Maintain a consistent level of quality
  • Familiar with technology and timekeeping systems, proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, ability to run relevant data and derive relevant inferences
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Experience working with unions and union team members (preferred)
  • Security clearance (preferred)
  • Knowledge of commercial, healthcare or aerospace industry standards (preferred)
  • Ability to stand on feet for four to six hours at a time
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
